We offer one day Rigging Inspection Training Courses.

Currently numerous competitors are charging for rigging inspection training. Rigging users should be aware that taking these types of training courses does not qualify them as competent inspectors unless their employer is satisfied with additional requirements as per part 15 of the OH & S Regulation. Inspection training should be done in combination with additional education on crane & rigging applications to understand the full impact of the equipment and job being performed.

Fundamentals of Rigging Course

This one day training course includes the following:

  • Legislative code and requirements
  • Responsibilities of the Employer and Employee
  • Hazard assessments and Risk potentials
  • Rigging equipment and the intended applications
  • Hitch functions and proper applications
  • Load calculations
  • Rigging inspections
  • Classroom Exam

Overhead Crane & Rigging Fundamentals Course

This one day crane training course includes the information from the Fundamentals of Rigging Course, as well as the following:

  • Risk Management
  • Riggers Responsibility
  • Manufacturers Responsibility
  • Rigging Plan
  • Center of Gravity
  • Side Loading
  • Making the Lift – site prep, hazards, controls & barriers, communication & more

Upon completion of the courses, the individual will receive a Certificate of Completion.
